A commercial sewer repair and drain repair is an entirely different kettle of fish than a residential repair. Stakes are higher, pipe diameters are larger and when the call is to the wrong crew, it costs you twice: once to do the job incorrectly, and twice to get the crew that does the job correctly.
We are a licensed plumbing company for commercial and industrial properties in the GTA and southern Ontario. We have a sewer plumber to carry a camera, hydro jetting rigs and the know-how to uncover the issue without beginning any digging. You receive an accurate diagnosis, a complete estimate and a repair that will not reoccur in 6 months.
There are a number of different categories of issues with the commercial drains and sewer system. Once you know what type you have, the approach you use to repair it will be completely different.
Blockage And Buildup: Grease, scale, root intrusion or sediment that builds up in the clogged sewer line or drain pipe clogged. The pipe itself is still in good condition but it is no longer capable of conveying water. Depending on camera results, treated with either hydro jetting or mechanical clearing.
Deterioration Of Pipes: Cast iron pipes rust. Clay tile cracks. Adequate PVC may become deformed if it is subjected to a prolonged load or ground motion. Deteriorated pipe appears on camera as hairline cracks, pitting or partial collapse. This will require drain pipe repair and/or sewer line repair, depending on how severe the problem is.
Root Intrusion: Water travels to tree roots. They search for pipe joints and gradually grow in, beginning as hair-thin tendrils and reaching the full bore. Assuming that you’ve got more roots to deal with, if you don’t clear the entry point, the roots will reappear. We cut roots, jet the line clean and talk about lining or spot repair to seal the line.
Ground Movement And Offset Joints: Pipes are prone to movement and offset joints from settlement of the ground, frost heave, and excavation activities near them. An offset joint creates turbulence that results in debris capture and creates clogs. It also allows for groundwater to enter the line. This will be noticed with camera inspection.
Structural Collapse: Old clay or concrete pipe may collapse due to heavy traffic/load bearing soils. Often a clogged sewer line which cannot be cleaned is a partial collapse. You can’t tell until you take a look.
We do a sewer line inspection prior to any repair. Every time. You look through me, you see what I see.

Typically, commercial sewer issues occur gradually and don’t happen suddenly. Warning signs usually occur in most systems long before any significant backups occur.
If you have any of these symptoms, call for professional drain repairs or a sewer repair:
These symptoms may indicate a problem with the clogged sewer line such as damage, root intrusion, pipe deterioration, and/or partial collapse underground.
Sewer line inspections are done by our sewer plumbers using a camera to locate the problem and then give the recommendations for repair.
Hydro Jetting: If there is blockage or buildup, but no damage to the structure. Water is forced through the pipe at high pressure (2,500 to 4,000 PSI) to clean and remove debris from the inside of the pipe. Actively works on grease, scale, sediment and root tendrils. We use this as a first step on most jobs as it allows the camera to be able to clearly see the pipe condition once the line is clean.
Mechanical Clearing: If there is a soft blockage close to the access point. More efficient for smaller lines and in dry conditions, not as effective for high load or large diameter lines.
Localised Excavation And Repair: If small areas of the pipe are found to be cracked, offset or have a short section of broken pipe, we will only excavate that area and repair it. The damaged part is replaced, the joint is properly sealed, and it is backfilled. When the damage is localized, contained, quick, and doesn’t cost as much as a full-line replacement, then it’s an actual issue.
Trenchless Sewer Repair: In situations where the sewer would obstruct a parking lot, landscaping, a finished interior floor or would be in a high traffic area, trenchless pipe repair may be the preferred option. Two main methods:
Pipe Lining (Cipp): Lining that involves pulling a liner through the pipe and curing it to the inside of the pipe. This will create a new pipe inside the old pipe. Structurally independent, seamless and for a lifetime. It is used when the host pipe is in poor condition, but it is not destroyed completely. This can also be referred to as reline sewer pipe or no dig sewer Repair.
Pipe Bursting: A bursting head is pulled through the existing pipe that busts the pipe outwards and at the same time pulls a new HDPE pipe inwards. Used when the pipe is in too poor condition to be lined. No conventional excavation for full replace sewer line capacity.
However, trenchless sewer line replacement costs are more expensive initially for a simple job. When you compare the cost of restoring the site to return to an acceptable state of repair, it becomes clear that it is a lot cheaper to use open-cut when the project would entail disruption of concrete, asphalt, finished flooring or a site disruption project.
We will advise you the best way to do it in your case. If it’s really the right thing to do we’ll say it.
There is a time when the solution is a new line! If your sewer line or piping is 50 years old, contains multiple failure points throughout its length and has already been repaired twice, it may be a good time for sewer line installation or sewage line replacement.
We do both open-cut and trenchless sewer line replacement for full-line work. The technique is based on the site conditions, pipe depth, diameter and what is overhead the line of pipe.
We collaborate with the general contractor and construction team directly for sewer line installation projects for new commercial construction, additions or re-routing. We extract and install permits, and coordinate with municipal connections, if necessary.
Restaurants And Food Service: The grease buildup in the kitchen lines and combined with the high volumes per day make this type of system one of the quickest to fail amongst all other commercial systems. Health code for sewer backup in kitchen during service. Food Service calls are first priority.
Multi-Unit Residential And Condos: The stacks that provide service to multiple levels are constantly loaded. Exterior mains root intrusion is frequently found in Ontario’s older homes. We service the entire plumbing system: Stack inspection, clearing floors drains, camera inspection of the plumbing lines and repairs where necessary.
Retail And Office Buildings: These are more likely to have their problems develop slowly, but the repercussions of a backup during the day are serious. Property managers with regular sewer line inspection programs prevent them from becoming properties emergencies.
Industrial And Manufacturing: Process water includes particulates, lubricants and chemicals that aid in the degradation of pipes. The diameters and depths of industrial drains are frequently larger. Our commercial plumbing crew does large diameter plumbing.
Healthcare And Institutional: Drain backup in the healthcare environment is a problem related to Infection Control. Operational schedules are adhered to and facility procedures are followed.
When they hear “trenchless sewer repair”, a lot of property owners think it’s always the best solution due to its less obtrusive nature. Plus there are many contractors who advocate trenchless as the margins are tighter.
The actual process for making the call:
Where the pipe is structurally sound, and the failure is due to deterioration of the inside surface or sealing of the joints, CIPP lining is effective. You receive trenchless pipe repair without tearing up the pipe and with the creation of a new inner liner.
For pipes with collapsed sections or significant offsets, lining may not be able to effectively repair the pipe. Spot excavation and replacement is required or pipe bursting for trenchless sewer line replacement.
Jetting and camera inspection are all that’s required if the pipe is in good shape, but the problem is caused by blockage build up. No excavation and trenchless.
Even for shorter, shallower and further away from completed surfaces or traffic areas pipe runs, the traditional excavation method may be faster and less expensive than the trenchless setup cost. If this is the case, we will be letting you know.
The purpose is not to get the most expensive repair, but the one that is best for you.
So, when you’re looking for a sewer line repair near me or drain repair near me it is not solely about how close you can find the contractor. The local soil, municipal infrastructure, freeze-thaw and the predominant pipe material in the area all have a significant impact on commercial sewer systems.

When the situation is, repair is typically possible:

Central air conditioner installation on a home with existing ductwork is typically completed in one day. Mini split installation for a single zone takes 3–5 hours. Multi-zone ductless ac installation may require a full day depending on the number of indoor units and complexity of line set routing.
For most central air conditioner installation work involving electrical connections, a permit is required. BOS manages permit requirements as part of our service, keeping you fully code-compliant without the administrative headache.
Home depot ac installation services are typically coordinated through third-party subcontractors. BOS is a direct-service, licensed HVAC and plumbing company with 20+ years of GTA experience and full accountability for every job. You work with us from quote to completion.
Mini splits AC don’t require ductwork and allow room-level temperature control. Central air conditioner installation delivers whole-home cooling through existing ducts from a single system. The right choice depends on your home’s layout, existing infrastructure, and how you want to manage cooling across different spaces.
Sometimes, system components need to be matched properly for efficiency and reliability. Our technicians will assess compatibility between existing indoor components and a new outdoor unit before recommending partial versus full system replacement.
We cover our installations with a workmanship warranty. If an issue develops that’s related to the installation, we return and resolve it at no charge. Call us directly, no third-party warranty service centres, no runaround.
