What We Do: Waterproofing Services That Actually Solve The Problem

We do it all and are licensed plumbers. That combination matters. Most waterproofing companies only look at the problem from one point of view. We observe the entire system including the drainage, plumbing, foundation and soil and repair it as necessary.

Basement Waterproofing

Your basement is the initial base of your home’s worth and structure. A wet basement will not remain an insignificant problem. It turns into mold, rot, broken drywall, damaged items and ultimately a failing foundation wall.

Depending on your home’s unique situation, we will be able to provide interior and exterior waterproofing. Interior systems control water that has already infiltrated. Exterior systems prevent it from coming into contact with your foundation. We’re honest and will tell you what your home needs and why.

Exterior Waterproofing

The best solution for long-term protection of your foundation is exterior waterproofing. We dig around the outside of your home, coat your foundation walls with waterproofing membrane directly, install/replace weeping tile and place the correct drainage aggregate backfill.

It’s not as straightforward as interior methods. It’s also the only way to prevent any water from getting through. In cases where a home needs foundation waterproofing, has extensive basement leak repair or recurring basement flooding issues, exterior work is typically the better choice.

Interior Waterproofing And Drainage Systems

Inside water management systems do it when there’s restricted access to the outside, or when it’s all about the water. Channels along the foundation walls on the inside of the basement drain, redirect water to a sump pit and pump it safely off-site from the foundation.

When properly installed an interior system is a long-term solution. If done poorly by an inexperienced team, it will last only a couple of years. Many other companies have installed bad interior systems and we have replaced these.

French Drain System Installation

The french drain system is a system that drains the water out of the ground from around your foundation before it can put pressure on your walls. We install french drain basement systems and exterior french drains which feature a bed of drainage stone under the pipe, and ensure the pipe is sloped properly and is connected to the correct discharge points.

A french drain system is often the solution you didn’t know about when you got your yard planted or the one you have just been patching again and again, when your basement sealing is never effective.

Basement Leak Repair And Wall Crack Repair

Not all leaks should be completely dug up. Some basement leak repairs are targeted: basement wall crack repair either by epoxy or polyurethane injection, floor to wall joint sealing, window well drainage repairs, and sealing of tie-rod holes.

We take into consideration the source, first. Then, we solve the real problem, not the problem with the hydraulic cement and hope for the best.

Foundation Waterproofing And Coating

Soil, water and temperature changes are constantly affecting your foundation. The foundation waterproofing by using proper materials for foundation coating will prevent the concrete or block from water infiltration, carbonation and freeze-thaw deterioration over the long-term.

Commercial grade membranes and drainage boards are used. Avoid products which have a thin brush-on finish and split in winter.

Basement Sealing

Basement sealing includes sealing all water intrusion areas, including injection of cracks, application of a membrane, window well drainage, installation of sump pump and proper grading. We inspect your entire basement system and take care of all areas where water can penetrate.

Bathroom Waterproofing

Wet rot in bathrooms typically develops without being noticed. Imperfect tile grout, shower liner not installed, not grouted membrane behind tile, slow leak at drain. Properly done, bathroom waterproofing involves either membrane systems that are properly applied before installation of tile or proper remediation when things have already broken down.

Bathroom waterproofing is done throughout the GTA for renovations, new construction, as well as repair scenarios.

Wall Waterproofing

Wall waterproofing is done for both above grade masonry and foundation walls. Determines the particular failure mechanism (capillary absorption, hydrostatic pressure, or condensation) and uses the correct system. No one-size-fits-all coating.

Basement Waterproofing Solutions Designed for Canadian Weather

The freeze thaw cycles, clay-rich soils, the spring snow melt and heavy rainfall are all waterproofing challenges that are faced by homes all over the GTA. Many older homes in Hamilton, Toronto and parts of Niagara suffer from aging foundations and old, failing drainage and have trouble during storms.

Our Waterproofing Experts are familiar with these conditions and design a system that will work in Canadian weather and climate conditions.

We help protect homes against:

  • Foundation seepage
  • Hydrostatic pressure
  • Surface water intrusion
  • Ice and snowmelt flooding
  • Sewer backup risks
  • Groundwater saturation
  • Drainage failures
  • Foundation shifting and cracking

Each home has its own unique character and we take that into account when developing a waterproofing plan that will protect and last for years.

What Causes A Wet Or Flooded Basement In Southern Ontario

Basement waterproofing is more challenging than in many parts of the country, and there are particular conditions in the GTA which make waterproofing more difficult.

Clay Soil : The primary cause is Clay Soil. Has poor drainage. When saturated it will retain water directly next to your foundation for days. It also expands and contracts with temperature which causes the foundations over time.

The Freeze-Thaw Cycle: It is a region that is heavily affected by this. During the fall, water is able to penetrate at the very least cracks in your foundation. It freezes, expands and enlarges the crack. After 10 winters, you have a major issue.

Hydrostatic Pressure: This is a pressure that accumulates when the water under ground level rises from heavy rains or spring snow melt. This pressure directly presses on your foundation walls and floor. Water will discover any weaknesses if there is a weak spot.

Old Or Failed Weeping Tile: One of the most frequently encountered problems with old homes in the GTA is the old weeping tile. Clay tile weeping systems have been destroyed or choked by roots in most homes constructed prior to the 1980s. They’re not pumping out anything.

A Flooded Basement: After heavy rain, one or all of these things is likely to have been a long time in the making. By the time the water is on the floor, the system has failed.

Signs You Need Waterproofing Services Immediately

Common signs of early damage are not recognized by many homeowners until serious damage occurs. If any of these problems are detected, it could be a sign that it’s time to hire professional waterproofing contractors:

  • Water stains on basement walls
  • Musty odours or mould growth
  • Cracks in basement walls or foundation
  • Damp or humid basement air
  • Water pooling near foundation walls
  • Persistent moisture after rainfall
  • Peeling paint or bubbling drywall
  • Rust on appliances or support beams
  • Sump pump running constantly
  • Standing water in the basement
  • Recurring wet basement conditions

Failure to address these issues can result in structural damage, indoor air quality issues and expensive repairs in the future.

Emergency Waterproofing and Flood Response

Business Hours Do NOT Exist with Water! Flooded basement at night time is a health and structural emergency. Mold begins to grow after 24 hours with water present and continues to grow after 48 hours. Drywall, insulation and wood framing begin to deteriorate as soon as it gets wet.

Our 24 hour plumber response services help you with waterproofing emergencies in the GTA and all of our service areas. In case of emergency, a same day plumber service is offered. BOS is there when you need it the most, an emergency plumber.

Residential And Commercial Waterproofing

Our residential plumber clients include homeowners, landlords and property managers, and our commercial plumber projects include retail, industrial and multi-unit residential properties. Basement systems in commercial buildings are likely to be more complex, have a larger perimeter and require higher water pressure. We handle both.

Serving the Entire GTA and Southern Ontario

We’re a plumbing company and waterproofing company; not a franchise that you’re forced to work within a specific territory. Our crews serve our clients’ needs over a broad area, which is where our clients need us to serve their needs.

Plumber in Mississauga: We have been providing plumbing services in Mississauga for more than 20 years. Weeping tile systems in older subdivisions such as Port Credit, Lakeview and Streetsville are in need of a lot of attention. We have lived in these neighborhoods.

Plumber in Oakville: High water tables are an issue for homes in Oakville along the lake and creek watersheds and we need Plumber in Oakville for solutions to this problem. This is especially for foundation waterproofing and the french drain system works.

Plumber in Hamilton: Hamilton’s older houses, constructed on concrete block foundations, require targeted waterproofing solutions – these are needed by a plumber in Hamilton. Block foundations are not sealed as poured concrete is. We know what we’re doing.

Plumber in Milton: Milton is a newer development and this means newer homes, but newer homes are not invulnerable to waterproofing problems. Typical complaints include construction backfill, poor grading and, of course, early failure of weeping tiles.

Plumber in Niagara: The Niagara region is close to the escarpment and has special soil properties that present particular drainage problems. Our crews are experienced about urban and rural properties throughout Niagara.

Plumber in Cambridge: Cambridge is where three rivers meet, Plumber in Cambridge. Here there are not only cases of flooding, but also problems with a high water table. Wet basement repair and correct basement drain systems are always in demand.

We also provide service to Burlington, Brampton, Etobicoke, Scarborough, North York and other surrounding areas in Southern Ontario.

What Does Waterproofing Cost?

The waterproofing basement cost depends on the type of waterproofing, the perimeter of your foundation, the type of soil you are working with and the depth of excavation.

More often than not, interior waterproofing will cost less than exterior waterproofing. Basement wall crack repairs and targeted basement leak repairs will cost significantly less than excavating the perimeter of a basement. In between at the length and discharge needs are French drain system installation.

    FAQs

Central air conditioner installation on a home with existing ductwork is typically completed in one day. Mini split installation for a single zone takes 3–5 hours. Multi-zone ductless ac installation may require a full day depending on the number of indoor units and complexity of line set routing.

For most central air conditioner installation work involving electrical connections, a permit is required. BOS manages permit requirements as part of our service, keeping you fully code-compliant without the administrative headache.

Home depot ac installation services are typically coordinated through third-party subcontractors. BOS is a direct-service, licensed HVAC and plumbing company with 20+ years of GTA experience and full accountability for every job. You work with us from quote to completion.

Mini splits AC don’t require ductwork and allow room-level temperature control. Central air conditioner installation delivers whole-home cooling through existing ducts from a single system. The right choice depends on your home’s layout, existing infrastructure, and how you want to manage cooling across different spaces.

Sometimes, system components need to be matched properly for efficiency and reliability. Our technicians will assess compatibility between existing indoor components and a new outdoor unit before recommending partial versus full system replacement.

We cover our installations with a workmanship warranty. If an issue develops that’s related to the installation, we return and resolve it at no charge. Call us directly, no third-party warranty service centres, no runaround.
